The Academy of Football. We have a nickname that others envy. The Academy of Football. Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Declan Rice. We produced the Golden Generation. While other clubs buy success, we grow it. It’s a point of massive pride. If you see a technically gifted English midfielder, chances are he started at West Ham.
West Ham Won the World Cup. It’s not a joke; it’s a fact. England won the World Cup in 1966, but look at the stats. The captain? Bobby Moore (West Ham). The goalscorers? Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters (West Ham). Without the Hammers, the Three Lions are nothing. That legacy stands tall in the statue outside the stadium.
From Upton Park to Europe. Leaving the Boleyn Ground (Upton Park) was painful. It was our home, our fortress. The move to the London Stadium was controversial, but it gave us the platform to grow.
